With its self-balancing alignment, the auger easily positions itself for a straight, vertically accurate hole, even when working on slopes and uneven surfaces.  The Direct Drive Hex auger quickly drills through hard-to-penetrate materials to a depth of 50 inches with a standard bit or up to 86 inches with an optional extension. How It Works - The auger utilizes the hydraulic power of your machine to rotate the auger bit. The tip of the bit penetrates the soil, easily breaking up hard surfaces while the auger rotation lifts dirt from the hole as you dig.
